  • Does laser removal hurt?
It's a common belief that tattoo removal is excruciating, yet most of our patients say that the sensation of removal is comparable to having a tattoo applied. Common descriptions include the sensation of a rubber band snapping against the skin. The pain is uncomfortable but it is bearable.
  • How much does it cost?
Our service is very affordable, but we would need to see the tattoo in real life to provide an exact price.
  • Will it scar?
Scarring is very rare. Unless scar tissue is already present from when the tattoo was first done, it is very unlikely.
  • Can my tattoo be fully removed?
Complete removal can happen but is not always possible. There are many factors i.e age, colours involved, type of ink, depth of ink and how good your immune system is.
  • How many sessions are normally required?
It is very hard to give an exact estimation of how long it will take, generally black ink takes around 8-10 sessions but colours could take longer, depending on other factors.
  • What can I expect after my first treatment?
The tattoo removal treatment creates a superficial burn wound. There is immediate whitening of the treated area, which lasts for several minutes. You may then develop blistering, scabs and crusts which can last up to two weeks or more. Scarring is very rare but can occur, the better you look after the treated area between treatments, the less likely this is to happen.
  • The treated area is feeling sore and swollen, what can I do?"
If neccessary apply a cold compress for 24hours after your treatement to help control the swelling and discomfort.
  • Can I take any pain relief?
We do NOT recommend you take aspirin after the treatment, as this can cause swelling and bruising of the area. You can use a thin layer of anti-biotic cream over the area but do not use any other creams until fully healed.
  • How should I care for my tattoo in the weeks between sessions?
To ensure the best recovery for the area we recommend the following: - Keep the area clean with soap and water, carefully patting dry. - Do not pick at the scab or allow it to be scraped as this can cause infection and scarring. - Do not shave the area until healed - Avoid prolonged contact with water, swimming and long baths as this may soften the scab. - Wear a sunblock SPF 30 on the treated area for 3 months after. - Do not wear make-up on the area until fully healed - Please do not wear any tight clothing, such as sports wear over the area as this can cause over heating and irritation, resulting in blistering and scarring.
  • I'm worried the treated area is not healing properly
If the treated area looks infected (honey coloured crusting and oozing or spreading redness), if you experience any unusual side effects or have any questions or concerns please contact the salon.
